Peter Keppler has over 30 years experience in the areas of Environmental, Natural Resources, and Business Law. He advises businesses on permits and compliance with federal, state and local environmental laws and regulations. He organizes and prepares operating agreements for limited liability companies (LLCs), prepares business purchase and sale agreements and contracts, advises on keeping corporate books and records, and counsels on general business matters. He also assists individuals with Estate Planning and wills, real estate transactions, leases, and other matters.

Mr. Keppler’s experience includes representing mining companies in acquisition of patented and unpatented mining claims, drafting option and purchase agreements, preparing operating and joint venture agreements, and obtaining permits for exploring, developing and operating mining properties. He has represented public and private firms in regulatory proceedings before State and Federal agencies and in negotiations with other companies in several Superfund sites. Peter’s background is in private practice and as a corporate attorney. Prior to establishing his own law practice in early 1997, he was special counsel for nearly six years with a national law firm. From 1971 to 1991, he served in various legal and management positions with an international mining and manufacturing company with facilities and operations in North America, Europe and Australia. Peter has been active and held various leadership positions in national, Colorado and local bar associations; currently Chairs the Editorial Board of the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation Journal; Co-Chairs the Colorado Mining Association Air Quality Committee; and is a past president of the Colorado Hazardous Waste Management Society and officer of the Rocky Mountain Association of Environmental Professionals. Publications include "Developing and Implementing an Environmental Management Program" in Preventive Law Reporter (Vol. 13, No. 2), and "Elements of a Corporate Environmental Management Program," Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation, Special Institute (1994).

Peter is a graduate of the University of Colorado School of Business and the University of Denver College of Law.
